The VitroPrep™ Cytology Processing Kit delivers high-quality specimen preparation for clear, unobstructed cellular analysis. As a second-generation liquid-based cytology (LBC) solution, it offers a streamlined, manual workflow—eliminating the need for automation.
The kit effectively preserves cellular integrity, lyses red blood cells, removes debris, and produces a uniform monolayer of cells on standard microscope slides. All formulations are developed using advanced Green Chemistry principles, ensuring safety and sustainability without compromising performance.

VitroPrepTM Sample Processing Procedure

Vortex PreservPlusTM Solution containing specimen* for about 10 seconds.
Pour the specimen into a 15 mL conical centrifuge tube.
Centrifuge the tube for 10 min @ 1000 ×g.
Gently and quickly decant the supernatant liquid from the tube.
Depending on the cellular pellet size, add CytoBaseTM Solution in a ratio of 3 parts CytoBaseTM Solution to 1 part of cellular pellet, typically 250-300 μL, into the tube and vortex the tube about 20 seconds.
Withdraw 45 µL of the mixture (step 5) and spread gently on a standard glass slide.
Allow drying of the slide at room temperature for 3-4 hours, and follow standard Papanicolau staining protocol.
