VitroPrepTM Sample Processing Procedure

1. Vortex PreservPlusTM Solution containing specimen* for about 10 seconds.
2. Pour the specimen into a 15 mL conical centrifuge tube.
3. Centrifuge the tube for 10 min @ 1000 ×g.
4. Gently and quickly decant the supernatant liquid from the tube.
5. Depending on the cellular pellet size, add CytoBaseTM Solution in a ratio of 3 parts CytoBaseTM Solution to 1 part of cellular pellet, typically 250-300 μL, into the tube and vortex the tube about 20 seconds.
6. Withdraw 45 µL of the mixture (step 5) and spread gently on a standard glass slide.
7. Allow drying of the slide at room temperature for 3-4 hours, and follow standard Papanicolau staining protocol.
