Organ Flushing Solution Usage and Protocol

Place the tissue/organ into a sterile container (do not apply heat at this point).
Identify the vessel(s) that will result in optimal perfusion/inflation.
Using a syringe or peristaltic pump, perfuse the Organ Flushing Solution at room temperature into the tissue at a rate that achieves adequate inflation. Avoid exerting too much internal pressure, as some tissues (e.g., liver) can be damaged by over-inflation.
Perfuse a volume sufficient to displace the shipping media and remove residual blood—approximately 2 mL per gram of tissue.
Once the shipping media and blood have been flushed from the tissue, proceed with the buffer/media intended for the isolation process.

Additional considerations and notes:

The tissue will arrive packaged in cold shipping media. The cold shipping media is harmful to the cells if warmed up to >10°C. Therefore, it is strongly advised to flush the shipping media out of the tissue using Organ Flushing Solution prior to chelation perfusion.
